TaskForTask is built on a vision of mutual aid and collective growth. We believe in a world where skills are the primary currency of progress.

The core mission of the TaskForTask platform is to facilitate the trading of skills, enable users to gain hands-on experience, and foster a community that works together on meaningful projects. Our goal is to create a collaborative ecosystem so that the world becomes a better place than it was before through the power of shared expertise and human cooperation.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaskForTask, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

By registering an account, accessing, or using any part of the TaskForTask platform ("the Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), along with our Privacy Policy. **These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.**

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TaskForTask ("we", "us", "our"). **TaskForTask is an intermediary platform only.** We provide the technology to connect users, but we do not guarantee the performance, integrity, or legality of any user conduct. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use TaskForTask. By signing up, you confirm you are old enough and legally allowed to use our platform.

To use TaskForTask, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Users aged 16 or 17 must have obtained parental or guardian consent before registering. A mandatory consent declaration checkbox is presented during sign-up for these users. By completing registration, you confirm consent has been obtained and the legal responsibility for this rests entirely with you and your guardian
• TaskForTask is a platform for skill development and mutual aid. TFT Coins carry no monetary value, and interactions are considered educational and collaborative in nature
• Have the legal capacity to use the platform in your jurisdiction
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
• Not have a previously terminated or suspended TaskForTask account

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Account & Identity

Your account represents your identity on the platform. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your credentials secure. Impersonation of others is not permitted.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Maintain the security of your login credentials and never share them with anyone
• Accept full responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Immediately notify us if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account
• Use only one account per person — operating multiple accounts is prohibited

Your username is your public identity on the platform. Usernames must not impersonate other individuals, organisations, or public figures. We reserve the right to reclaim or modify usernames that violate this policy.

Data We Collect Automatically (Security & Fraud Prevention)

We collect minimal device data to prevent fraud, bot attacks, and account cloning. This ensures a safe and fair marketplace for everyone.

To protect our community from account hijacking, bot attacks, and multiple-account abuse (cloning), we automatically collect certain technical information about your device. This includes:

Hardware Specifications: Approximate CPU cores, RAM, and GPU/graphics renderer information.

Browser Environment: Browser name, version, and screen resolution.

Network Identifiers: IP address and general timezone.

Our Promise: This data is used strictly for security purposes to ensure a fair environment (e.g., preventing spam or fraudulent coin mining). We do not use this for marketing, we do not build a personal profile of your offline life, and we never sell this data to third parties.

TFT Coins (Digital Currency)

TFT Coins are a platform-internal digital currency with no real-world monetary value. Your balance is managed exclusively by our automated systems and cannot be manually modified.

TaskForTask operates a proprietary digital token system called TFT Coins ("Coins" or "TFT"). By using the Platform you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• TFT Coins are a virtual, platform-internal utility token with no inherent monetary value outside the TaskForTask ecosystem
• Coins are not a form of real-world currency, are not redeemable for cash, and do not constitute a financial instrument or cryptocurrency
• TaskForTask does not currently buy or sell TFT Coins for real-world currency — though we reserve the right to introduce such features in the future
• Any exchange of TFT Coins for real-world currency without our explicit authority is strictly prohibited
• Your coin balance, escrow holdings, and all related records are exclusively managed by our automated systems. Users cannot manually alter these values
• All coin transactions are recorded in an immutable ledger and cannot be reversed without our explicit authorisation
• We reserve the right to adjust, void, or reverse coin transactions that result from errors, exploits, bugs, fraud, or violations of these Terms
• Future features may allow purchase of in-app items (like premium subscriptions or boosts) via a licensed payment gateway. Any such features will be governed by additional terms at introduction. Users under 18 years of age are required to obtain verifiable permission from their parents or guardians before making any such purchases

System Failures & Coin Restoration: In the event of a documented system failure, server outage, or database corruption, TaskForTask's sole obligation is to attempt a restoration of coin balances, XP records, and transaction history based on the most recent available automated backup. We are not liable for coins, progress, or records that cannot be recovered due to data loss, incomplete backups, or corruption beyond technical recovery. We will make reasonable and transparent efforts to restore affected accounts and communicate with impacted users promptly.

Off-platform transactions: Any task payment or agreement made outside TaskForTask — via payment apps, bank transfer, cash, or any other means — is entirely outside our jurisdiction. We provide zero protection, dispute resolution, or recovery for fraud or losses arising from off-platform dealings. All tasks must be paid exclusively through TFT Coins via our escrow system. Real money involvement of any kind removes the transaction from our protection entirely.

Task Rules

When you post a task, you are making a real commitment backed by escrowed coins. Be honest about what you need. When you apply for a task, you are committing to do it properly by the deadline.

For Task Posters (Clients):

• When you post a task, you must deposit the full agreed coin amount into the platform escrow before a worker can be assigned
• You must assign the task to a qualified applicant before the assignment deadline. Tasks that expire without assignment will be automatically closed and your coins returned
• Once work is submitted, you must review it within the review deadline. Failure to review within this window will result in automatic release of escrowed coins to the worker
• You must not post tasks that are illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or violate any applicable law or our content policies
• Tasks posted in bad faith (with no intention of hiring or paying) may result in account suspension

For Task Doers (Freelancers):

• By applying for a task, you represent that you have the skills and capacity to complete it as described
• Once assigned to a task, you are bound by the agreed deadline. Failure to submit by the deadline may result in the escrowed coins being returned to the client
• Submitted work must be original, legally obtained, or properly licensed. You may not submit AI-generated content or plagiarised work without prior disclosure and agreement from the client
• You must not share confidential task details, client assets, or work product with third parties

Skills & Profile

Your selected skills represent your genuine expertise on the platform. Skill tags are designed to be stable indicators of your competency and may not be freely changeable after registration, to ensure marketplace integrity.

TaskForTask uses a structured skills taxonomy to match users with appropriate tasks. By selecting skills during onboarding or profile setup, you represent that you genuinely possess those skills at the indicated level of proficiency.

Skills on the Platform are associated with a level system (Levels 1 through 10) that governs the maximum task value you may accept and the XP you earn. Your skill levels advance based on verified platform activity.

Misrepresenting your skills to gain access to tasks beyond your competency level is a violation of these Terms and may result in penalties, negative reputation impact, or account suspension.

Escrow & Payments

When a task starts, coins are locked in a secure vault. They're only released when the work is approved, or returned if the task fails. Neither the client nor the freelancer can touch the coins until the task is resolved.

All task-based payments on TaskForTask are processed through our internal escrow system. This system acts as a neutral custodian, holding coins on behalf of both parties until the task is successfully completed or a resolution is reached.

• Coins are locked into escrow at the time of task assignment and cannot be accessed by either party during the task
• Upon the client's confirmation of satisfactory work, coins are released from escrow to the worker
• If the task deadline passes without work submission, escrowed coins are automatically returned to the client
• If the review deadline passes without the client taking action, escrowed coins are automatically released to the worker
• In the event of a dispute, coins remain locked in escrow until a resolution is reached through our dispute process
• Escrow records are permanent and immutable. The original amount deposited serves as a hard ceiling — no payout may exceed the escrowed amount

Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem with another user, use our dispute system. You choose Public (fast, community votes) or Private (slower, admin handles it). Choose wisely — you can switch, but we're not responsible if your work gets seen publicly before you switch.

TaskForTask provides a structured dispute resolution mechanism for conflicts arising from task execution. Either party may raise a formal dispute. Once raised, both parties must submit their case through the Platform.

Dispute Types:

• Public Dispute: The case is visible to the TaskForTask community. Registered users vote on the outcome. The goal is resolution within approximately 4 hours. Use this option only if you are comfortable with your work and communications being visible to others
• Private Dispute: The case is reviewed exclusively by a TaskForTask administrator. Resolution typically takes up to 24 hours. All content remains confidential

To ensure fair and secure resolution, please note that platform chats are generally not monitored by the TaskForTask backend team. These chats are only accessed by the Lead Team in the event of an active dispute, a formal revision request, participant reports, or suspicions of illegal activity to verify the facts of the case.

The decision of TaskForTask's dispute resolution process (whether community-voted or admin-determined) is final and binding on both parties. Escrowed coins will be released in accordance with the outcome.

Raising frivolous, malicious, or repeated baseless disputes is a violation of these Terms and may result in penalties including reduced reputation score, restricted account status, or permanent termination.

Revisions Policy

Clients get a maximum of 3 revision requests per task. This protects workers from being exploited. Use them wisely. After 3, the work must be accepted or a formal dispute raised.

Task clients are entitled to request a maximum of three (3) revision cycles per task. A revision request must include a clear, specific description of the changes required.

• Each revision request initiates a new submission deadline for the worker
• Revision requests must be reasonable and consistent with the original task description — they may not be used to materially expand the scope of work
• Once all revision allowances have been used, the client must either accept the submitted work or initiate a formal dispute
• Using revision requests primarily as a delay tactic constitutes bad faith and is a violation of these Terms

Prohibited Conduct

TaskForTask maintains clear standards for user conduct. Fraud, harassment, illegal content, and system manipulation are prohibited and may result in account restriction or permanent termination.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on TaskForTask:

• Fraud, misrepresentation, or impersonation of any person or entity
• Attempting to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent any platform system including coin balances, XP, ratings, or escrow
• Posting, sharing, or soliciting illegal content, including content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse directed at any user
• Operating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or gain unfair advantages
• Conducting transactions outside the platform to circumvent escrow (known as "going off-platform") — any real-money or off-platform payment for a TaskForTask task removes it entirely from our protection and dispute system
• Soliciting or sharing personal contact information with the intent to bypass platform protections
• Spamming, phishing, or distributing malware
• Using automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools on the platform without written permission
• Attempting to access another user's account or private data
• Sharing confidential task materials without authorisation
• Creating or participating in any activity that could damage the reputation of the Platform

Violations of this section will result in immediate and permanent account termination (The "Definitive Ban"). We implement a progressive banning hierarchy to ensure platform safety:

• Individual ID Ban: Your account is permanently terminated and access is revoked.
• Multi-ID Ban: If more than one account is found to be associated with the same IP address and those accounts are involved in prohibited conduct, all associated accounts will be permanently banned.
• IP Blacklist/Block: In cases of serious offenses, illegal activities, or repeated platform evasion, your IP address will be permanently blacklisted and blocked from accessing the platform entirely.

We reserve the right to report serious violations to relevant legal authorities and share necessary logs and identifying information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Content & Intellectual Property

You own what you create. However, TaskForTask is not responsible for any content posted or viewed on the platform. Users are solely responsible for their interactions and the content they choose to share.

Content Responsibility: TaskForTask serves as a neutral platform for user interaction. We are not responsible for, nor do we endorse, any content, messages, or files posted by users. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the individuals you choose to trust or interact with. We strongly advise users to only interact with people they trust.

Your Content: You retain ownership of all original content you create and submit on TaskForTask, including task descriptions, work submissions, and messages. However, you are strictly prohibited from using the photos or work of others without their explicit permission. When you post any task or photo, you represent and warrant that you hold the legal authority or permission to use and share that content. By submitting content, you grant TaskForTask a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

Work Product: Upon successful task completion and full payment release from escrow, the intellectual property rights to the delivered work product transfer to the client, unless a different arrangement was explicitly agreed upon in writing between the parties before work commenced.

Platform IP: All other aspects of the Platform — including its code, design, branding, logo, name "TaskForTask", and database architecture — are the exclusive intellectual property of TaskForTask and its creators. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

TaskForTask is a marketplace — we connect people but we are not a party to your transactions. If something goes wrong between two users, that's between them (though we'll help settle it). We are not responsible for lost income, project failures, or user misconduct.

TaskForTask operates as a pure platform intermediary. We facilitate connections but are never a party to the agreements or work exchanged between users. **The platform acts as a "Marketplace of Trust" where responsibility for vetting and results rests solely on the users.**

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• TaskForTask DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from user interactions
• We make no guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or 100% secure
• We are not liable for any content, messages, or files shared by users, even if such content is illegal or infringing
• We provide no insurance or guarantee for the quality or delivery of work; your use of the platform is at your own risk
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim is strictly capped at the balance of TFT Coins held in your account at the time of the claim

By using this platform, you agree that TaskForTask is NOT responsible for any damages (financial, legal, or reputational) you may incur through your dealings with other users. If something goes wrong, your sole recourse is our internal Dispute Resolution system or personal legal action against the other user, NOT TaskForTask.

Termination

You can leave anytime. We can also remove your account if you break the rules. Either way, your obligations (like completing active tasks) don't just disappear when you leave.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked, and your profile will be removed from public view, subject to data retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

TaskForTask reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of any provision of these Terms
• Fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity
• Actions that damage the reputation, security, or technical operation of the Platform
• Inactivity over an extended period, subject to prior notice

Governing Law & Authorities

We follow Indian law and cooperate with government requests for content removal or data access. However, we do not provide a 100% guarantee to fulfill all extra-legal requirements beyond our stated capabilities.

These Terms and any disputes arising out of your use of the Platform shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of India.

"Zero-Knowledge" Enforcement: TaskForTask is designed to be blind to your personal identity. We do not store your home address, government ID, or real-world dossier. Because we don't collect this data, we cannot share it. In "worst-case" scenarios where authorities request information, we will only ever be able to provide the minimal technical artifacts we actually possess (like an email or a public username). If the data doesn't exist on our servers, it cannot be disclosed—to anyone.

Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

We can update these terms. We'll give you notice for major changes. If you keep using the platform after changes, you've accepted the new terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 7 days' notice by posting a prominent notice on the Platform and, where applicable, emailing registered users.

Your continued use of the Platform following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your binding acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform before the effective date.
